Recycling in Beacon Woods

Newspapers - A newspaper recycling bin is available at the Civic Center.  You can conveniently drop off your old newspapers in a recycling bin that is located in the lower right corner of the Civic Center parking lot.
Can Tabs - Beacon Woods residents can make a difference in the lives of the patients and families of Shriners Hospitals for Children, Tampa by saving their can tabs.  There is a large jar available at the Civic Center where you can drop them off.
Blue Bag Recycle Program - Pasco County’s “Blue Bag" Curbside Recycling Program is a voluntary program. Please use a blue bag to collect clean and rinsed recyclable items such as, #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum and bimetal cans, and clear, green and brown glass. Please remove caps and/or lids. Blue bags may be purchased at area grocery and department stores.
The recyclables will be picked up bi-weekly by the garbage hauler. The recycling day is determined by the hauler and residents should contact them for a calendar.  After the bags are filled with recyclables, place the bags at curbside the night before the designated pick up day.
Recycling conserves trees, water and other natural resources by reducing what people throw away, and it returns valuable material to the industry for reuse.
